I’ve been waiting for the right idea for a daily blog to hit me, and finally, it did. America is an amazing country, and whether you agree with everything happening or not (and no one agrees with everything), there’s much to celebrate.
So let’s appreciate the things that are special about our country. Not all of these things originated in America, but we’ve made them our own regardless.
I appreciate the comments, especially your thoughts about Great American Things. Bookmark us and come back often for a reason to feel good about being an American.

I found your blog in researching something else and was in awe. What a wonderful gift you give us – keep up the great work.
When I was 13 … and my brothers and sister were 10, 8 and 7 years old … my parents took us on a 8-week camping trip from our home in South Carolina to San Francisco and back. We covered almost 8,000 miles and we saw this country up close and personal. Yellowstone, Yosmite, Golden Gate, Grand Canyon, Alamo … It was a defining moment in life. What a great experience!
